How the rejection by a recruiter or a company after an interview affects us is all down to our attitude: attitude is everything; it shapes our outcomes.
Difficult situations occur throughout everyone’s life, but it is our attitude that will determine how much they affect us. Remember you can always choose what you say to yourself, despite the situation in which you find yourself.
Some people’s attitude is weighed down by mental anchors – I’m too old; my analytical skills are rubbish; I’m useless at reports; success doesn’t come to people like me; John is so much better than me; etc.
Some people believe that events shape their lives – no – it is your attitude to those events that will shape your life.
For others they see adversity as a challenge: it is when they thrive. So what allows these people to succeed? Success comes not from what happens to them in their lives, but from how they think about what happens to them.
The way you decide to respond to certain occurrences is what will shape your feelings, actions and outcomes.
